Volunteers - we need you!

We are expanding and are actively recruiting new volunteers for the following roles:

  1. To work part-time in our new charity shop.
  2. To assist with our homeless feed in Halifax, every second Saturday.
  3. To help support people in need  in our community hub, drop in and support centre which will be open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 1000 – 1200.
  4. There are various other ad hoc roles, helping to pack food parcels, delivering food parcels, helping out at fundraising events and more. 

We also take pride in being a team which has a strong focus on supporting each other and we look forward to welcoming you into the Focus4Hope family.

Please add your DBS Check if you have one (if not we will request further information so we can arrange a DBS check for you)
Please add your Food Hygiene Certificate if you have one

Volunteer duties and tasks will be allocated during your induction with either Louise at our Head Quarters Hub4Hope in Brighouse. Training provided will be delivered as a one off session at induction and regular three monthly meetings will take place at HQ. Appropriate training courses will be offered to meet legal and The Homeless Charter requirements.
You are protected by and expected to comply with organisational policies when volunteering. Copies of relevant policies will be provided upon induction.
Please inform Louise Reed as soon as possible if you are unable to fulfil a commitment to attend/volunteer for any reason.
Please inform your Louise Reed of your holiday plans as far in advance as possible.
You have the right to a written reference from Focus 4 Hope subject to a satisfactory period of volunteering. This will, in most cases, be provided by Louise Reed
If you have any grievances your first point of reference should be your Louise Reed. There is a procedure available outlining the process for the formal resolution of grievances. All grievances are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
